Final Result
So here it is… The finished floors… Actually turned out pretty flippin good… There are some warts that you might expect from a house thats 100 years old. The funniest part is the stripe down the middle of the stairs – the original owners most likely had a runner down the stairs and the wood was badly bleached to the point the floor guys couldn’t sand it out… And if you squint closely at the picture of the hall you can see Kevin’s next project ( the boy just won’t quit! 😉 )

i LOVE hardwood floors. those looks really, really sharp. it makes me want to run around in my socks sliding around all over the place…

wow, gooooorgeous. I remember the problems we had doing our floors.. so I empathize with your work and your pride :)… the work never ends does it? (we’re still working on our house after 6 years LOL.

Thanks y’all…. yea… Work seems to go on and on… is nice to see the place starting to have our touches on it and feel less like the the previous owners…
Next project is the Deck and trying to figure out how to get a door lever put back in (many old san francisco houses have these cool levers at the top of the stairs for opening the door at the bottom and some fool ripped ours out. 🙂 )
