Monday’s Happy Thought
Just got this in email and it made me smile so I had to share! 🙂
One beautiful February day in 2005 a woman approaches the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue where she’d been sitting on a park bench. She speaks to the U.S. Marine standing guard and says, “I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.”
The Marine looks at the woman and says, “I’m sorry, Ma’am, but Mr. Bush is
no longer president and no longer resides here.”
The woman says, “Okay” and walks away. The next day, the same woman approaches the White House and says to the same Marine, “I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.”
The Marine again tells her, “Ma’am, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is
no longer president and no longer resides here.”
The woman thanks him and, again, walks away. The third day, the same woman approaches the White House and speaks to the very same U. S. Marine, saying, “I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.”
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looks at the woman and says, “Ma’am, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I’ve told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don’t you understand?”
The woman looks at the Marine and says, “Oh, I understand. I just love
hearing it.”
Now we all just have to figure out for ourselves what each of us can do to make this happen! 🙂
Happy Monday! 🙂

I for one am Glad Mr. Bush is in the White house, she won’t get to hear that untill 2008!
Wecan make that change happen, if we have the courage of our convictions.
And when it does, I think I’ll be placing a call to the White House switchboard to ask the same question….
