I’m sorry but I don’t even know what to say about this:

Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart Threatens To Kill Gays 

(Toronto, Ontario) A Canadian television station has apologized publicly to viewers for a telecast of American evangelist Jimmy Swggart’s television program in which he threatened to kill gays.

the important point being this:

According to a transcript of the program, Swaggart said: “I’m trying to find the correct name for it … this utter absolute, asinine, idiotic stupidity of men marrying men. … I’ve never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry. And I’m gonna be blunt and plain; if one ever looks at me like that, I’m gonna kill him and tell God he died.”

The remarks were met with applause from his congregation.  

What the FUCK… Did the entire building miss the day in Sunday schoool where they talked about the ten commandments and the golden rule?

Ugh. How repulsive. Don’t these people have holes in the sand in Afghanistan they’re supposed to be hiding in?…oh, wait, wrong set of insane religious fundamentalists.

It looks like they’ve pulled the video from their site. There’s no reference to the sermon on the archive page. I was able to snag it beforehand, and have put the relevant diatribe on my blog site at http://pblog.blogdns.net/

I can’t believe someone would actually say something so awful,so evil.How could someome say they would kill a man because he is gay,and then take it back like it was no big deal?I don’t understand people like him.If ya ask me,he deserves to be shot…….right between the eyes

Jeesus, Pete – that’s fucking abhorrent. I felt physical ache for having read that for the sake of you and every other gay person I respect, admire and love.

I believe that God, if he really exists, will put that little nugget down in his book and old Jimmy will have to pay for that. It’s not enough to pay lip service – God, if he’s there, knows what’s in your heart, so Swaggart is royally screwed.

What’s worse – a gay man who loves another gay man and doesn’t hurt anyone, or a man of “God” who wants to kill gay people – people who have nothing to do with him in the slightest?

You were born gay and God made you that way for a reason. Why these people can’t understand that is beyond me. The fact that this guy has an audience at all is baffling.

You keep your chin up, kiddo. We love you and we know what’s right.

(As if a gay man would look twice at Swaggart? Puh-leeze. You ever notice how it’s the most unappealing, unattractive people that think gay men are hot for them? It’s all that repressed homosexuality, methinks.)
