OUTSTANDING
DOJ Reverses Ban On Pride Celebration
its still not everything it should be (the gay group is still not being treated equally to the other groups in terms of funding and access) – but its nice to see the administration having to back peddle…

I got this from a friend the other day and it is too damn funny for words.. 😉 You have to register for mp3.com but I think thats safe enough… 🙂
Don’t forget
Father’s day is Sunday.. This one usually is overshadowed by Mother’s day so don’t forget to do something for your old man! :):):)
An interesting read:
Just found this article here:
Is lying about the reason for a war an impeachable offense?
I found this paragraph particularly entertaining:
In an apparent attempt to bolster the President’s credibility, and his own, Secretary Rumsfeld himself has now called for a Defense Department investigation into what went wrong with the pre-war intelligence. New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd finds this effort about on par with O.J.’s looking for his wife’s killer. But there may be a difference: Unless the members of Administration can find someone else to blame — informants, surveillance technology, lower-level personnel, you name it — they may not escape fault themselves.
Since I’m in a good mood I’ll just say i’m glad to start seeing the press doing their job and leave it at that! 🙂
SO GREAT
I had SUCH a great time Kayaking this weekend… We went up EARLY saturday morning to Point Rayes (north of San Francisco)… Spent the morrning loading up the kayaks with all of our overnight gear and learning how to paddle (I knew how but many of the guys on the trip had never done it before).
Then we rowed across Tomales Bay passing by Hog island and seeing a TON of gulls, pellicans, seals, star fish, and even a bat ray. after passing hog island we rowed down the far side of the bay to our camp site.. Our camp site was a secluded beach inaccessible by land.. We pitched tents and spent the late afternoon / evening exploring the beach and hanging out.. That night the cooks made the most AMAZING paella and we hung out by the camp fire talking..
The next morning we got up to a wonderful breakfast and then went on a paddle down the coast further (deeper into the bay)… We saw deer climing the cliffs, hawks, jellyfish, and lots of other random stuff.. After rowing back and breaking down camp we rowed over to hog island and had a picnic lunch.. Then headed home..
SO NICE… SO PEACEFUL… SO BEAUTIFUL… Just what I needed…
The pictures are here
If you ever have a chance to go kayaking I highly recommend it… More importantly, if you ever have the chance to help out Healing Waters PLEASE do.. They are a GREAT organization and help a lot of people… I help by giving money but they also welcome volunteers or you can just check out one of their fundraising trips like this weekend’s… You’ll be REALLY glad you did.. I SWEAR!!!
( they have a fund raising trip to Costa Rica in January… anyone wanna come with me? :):):) )
