Rick’s Day

This weekend has been kind of odd / rough / busy / fun / crazy… Friday night Kevin and I had dinner with Matt and Brian and two of Kevin’s friends from Atlanta at a nice French (La Suite) restaurant in South Beach. Nice if you like french food that is – if you don’t like french food don’t go (Matt had Bone Marrow as an appetizer for example).. Dinner was nice though pricey and I was in a bit of a mood cuz of a frantic week… After dinner we all went to the Powerhouse only to find that Michael Brandon was doing some sort of auction at the bar and Kevin walked away with a Gift basket and DVD (imagine what kind of both) ;)… After about a half hour or so I was done but Kevin and the rest stayed to go on to the Endup. Late night for most but not so much for me..

Saturday was largely work with a break to go climbing again which was nice (though DAMN I’m sore today – this time we went climbing and also lifted weights)…

Saturday night we went out for dinner with Randy and Rick at Ozumo which was Really nice.. I’d never been to the restaurant.. The sushi was fantastic, location was right on the bay, and atmosphere was great. Oh.. and the company wasn’t too shabby either – we don’t see those guys very often unfortunately (aside from passing Randy at work which doesn’t really count as quality time).

And.. at dinner Rock informed me that I don’t update my blog enough and recommended that I dedicate days to folks.. So in honor of him today will be Rick’s on SwimFinsSF! 😉

And today.. Well today I’m in Cupertino working… Wee fun… 😉

My man is the man

Kevin got promoted to ‘Associate’ at work.. Very big deal and for the occasion they took a cute picture of him to post on the public website. So now i’m not sure which one I like better – the Associate picture or his picture with Audrey (though he HATES that picture – so don’t tell him I posted it! 😉 )

So regardless – Congratulate him if ya see him.. He’s earned it! 🙂

Wow…

A little over due for a post here huh? I was checking out what my blog looked like on Matt’s Crackberry and whining about how crappy it looked.. Then I looked at it this morning and realized its been SO long since i’ve posted that the content area has gone blank… So I guess its not so much the Crackberry as much as its the fact that i’m a LOOSER… Anyway.. Here’s a post for good measure..

I’ll try to post a little more but no promises cuz when I get busy (which I am now) its hard to come up with clever things to post (and posting about work is largely off limits for confidentiality reasons and posting about relationship stuff is usually off limits for fear of pissing off kevin! ;))

Anyway.. happy new year.. 🙂

A new pastime

I’ve discovered a new pastime that i’m loving. Matt and I went to Mission Cliffs yesterday to go climbing and, while I sucked REALLY BADLY, I had a great time (and i’m sore today). We went down at 10:30 yesterday morning and took a saftey class that taught us how to use all of the equipment ( it seems there is more than one use for a harnass 😉 ) and then we spent about 2 hours climbing walls. The whole thing was a WHOLE lot of fun though it requires two skills which I am VERY bad at – namely comfort with heights and trust. I’m TERRIFIED of heights and i’m bad at relying on others for things. So, as much as I trust Matt for pretty much anything, dangling from a rope a story or two in the air from a rope is kinda.. well.. um.. petrifying for me.. But I still loved it.. And DAMN is it a good upper body workout.. I’m sore today! :)..

So I’ll be going back.. hopefully a lot! 🙂
