I hate to say it but i’m really excited to see this when it comes out… In general I’m not a big fan of musicals turned into Movies but I really love this show and the music from it… Hope they did a good job.. I like the trailer at least! 🙂

I am right there with you — I first saw the original cast in previews while living in NYC and then again 1 month into the show. I have skipped every touring company since!!!!!! (That’s over 10 years without a live RENT fix) I am so HAPPY that Columbus went with the original cast, although I am going to miss Daphne Ruben Vega as MIMI — rumor has it that Rosario Dawson is TERRIBLE as MIMI — but Tracie Thoms is getting gleaming feedback as Joanne. All I care about is finally getting to see Idina Menzel on the BIG SCREEN – she derserves it…….big time…….even back in the day Idina & Taye were touchy feely on stage!

¿Does anyone know why they used Rosario Dawson instead o Daphne Rubin Vega?
