Just got tagged by MJ to do this meme-ey-thing and she basically dared me.. so here ya go lady.. more dirt than ya ever wanted to know! 😉

What were you doing 10 years ago?

January 1996, San Francisco:

The scary thing is that its not horribly different than now. Granted it was a different boyfriend and different digs, and slightly different job, but not like I was moose herding in Alaska… At that time I was still dating my now ex Lance and living in this tackey little apartment in the Haight (though it did have a great view and handy location – but ugly as hell and was tormented by the Landlord’s bitch of a daughter). At the time I was still at Apple however I was working on the Java VM for the Mac OS (Mac OS 9 at the time – MRJ) after having just left Copeland team (10 buck for the first person to know what the hell that was). Not remembering much more than that bout the time..

What were you doing 1 year ago?

A year ago was even less change. Living in the new digs here on Noe Street. Working on and managing Final Cut Pro (lead engineer for Final Cut Pro 5.0 and managed part of the engineering team as well)… Spent christmas in town with my mom and that side of the family. Not much change..

I actually wrote this blurb about what has changed from 10 years ago to 1 year ago for some reason and I figured I’d leave it here for fun! 🙂

All sorts of little bumps and turns both at work and at home. At work I went from starting on MRJ to managing half of the enginering team, leaving there to go work on final cut as a peon and went through a few releases there before starting managing again with a whole bunch of responsibilities. Personally I broke up with Lance (which I won’t go into here – thats for discussion in paid sessions! :)), went through a year of trampin around and playin before I met Kevin in the Summer of 99 and have been with him since. Home wise we ditched the bitch’s place in the haight and bought a killer cool place in a GREAT neighborhood in Duboce triangle. Got its warts but its pretty damn cool.. And between all that has been a lot of travel and a bunch of new and different people coming in and out of my life.

Five snacks I enjoy:

1) Pop Tarts

2) Pistachios

3) These strange little vanilla and icing wafer cookies that come in blue bags at harvest market… YUM…

4) That Chinese party mix

5) My mom’s chex mix! 🙂

1) Explore eastern and southern Europe

2) Go to Tibet and Central / Southern Asia

3) Scuba Dive around the World

4) Buy a house just big enough to have a nice yard and a garage big enough to do projects… (and maybe a play room)

Five bad habits: Hmmm.. now how to do this without getting into trouble! 😉 🙂

3) TV (The damn thing seems to be on all the fucking time at home – its really scary and lame)

4) Procrastination. (REALLY Bad habit of waiting until or beyond the last minute to do anything… really lame…)
