Friday Five
1. When was the last time you laughed? This morning over Breakfast
2. Who was the last person you had an argument with? With Kevin this evening over how we were going to deal with re-finishing the flippin floors… How come household projects turn so dramatic? Or maybe its just us..
3. Who was the last person you emailed? Her this evening… Talking in codes to bait John Ashcroft (and to fix bugs in the changes I made to my blog earlier)…
4. When was the last time you bathed? Took a shower this morning… And every morning.. And after the gym… I’m kinda fussy about that… Now a regular Bath in the bath tub with rubber duckies and bubbles? That I don’t remember
5. What was the last thing you ate? Whiskey Flank Steak, Green Beans, and Au Gratin Potatoes for Dinner.. Woo hoo! 🙂
Geekish
He pointed me at this site… HARD CORE GEEK… Wrong on SO MANY levels… But I found this. The Atari 400 was my FIRST computer.. when I was in like 2nd grade… Turned me into the tech dork I am today – with a lot of help from my Dad.. He gave me the computer with the one rule that he wouldn’t buy any games for me – the only games I was allowed to play I had to write my self!…
TOO FUNNY…
Anyway.. G’Night.! 😉
More fun tools
He just pointed me at a couple of fun tools that I had to share:
– HyperEdit: A simple live HTML editor that allows you to edit HTML with style sheets and even PHP and watch the effects on your page as you edit… It does a rather poor job of syntax coloring (I prefer BBEdit for that) but it is pretty useful for layout and such (which I was futzing with last night.
– Kung-Log: A pretty cool tool for editing MT blogs on Mac OS X. Pretty snazzy Mac OS X like interace for doign basing pposting on my blog… I’ve had a number of crashes with it lately so i’m not 100% sold on it but I sure would like an easier way to do a quick post than navigating the web interface. I’m still wrestling with thins one though – can’t really recommend it as much as point it out (and ask if anyone has found alternatives)
New Toys
Apple is now shipping the new PowerMac G5’s. And the ad for it is pretty damn funny too!
MAN I love new toys! 😉
Blog MetaData
Geek Alert:
I just discovered Blizg when reading Shanni’s blog and its REALLY cool. For those not familiar with metadata the short definition is that it is data about data. Essentially a structured way of providing information about your site in the form of meta
tags. By using these tags on your blog (or any site) you can provide information about your blog or site in a standard way that others can find..
Blizg takes this metadata from blogs and uses it as a REALLY COOL way to go blog hopping above and beyond using people’s blogrolls. You can find blogs by language, country, keywords, or any other thing that they have defined as meta
tags.
Anyway.. Maybe i’m just a geek.. Just thought it was cool and had to share! 🙂
Search Terms
Since I’ve switched to the new domain I’ve been watching search terms and referrers to see if the folks that found the old location have found the new ones.. I’ve also been watching what google search terms are leading folks here… Funny part is there seems to be one thing that is getting folks from google here:
#reqs: search term

7: dore alley 2003
2: dore alley pictures
1: dore alley street fair 2003 pictures
Hmmm… Guess there are a lot of folks out there that want to see what happened at Dore…
too funny…
Anyway… Supposed I should stop talkin bout such things..
(BUT if you’re here for the pix they’re in the bar to the left or you can click here! LOL)
